President & CEO
Holly H. Duncan is in her 15th year as the President and CEO of Morton Plant Mease Foundation, a $100 million institution providing philanthropic support for the community-based, community-focused, not-for-profit Morton Plant Mease Health Care, Inc, an integrated health care delivery system including four hospitals in the Greater Clearwater area of Florida. With over 30 years of professional development experience, Ms. Duncan has raised over $250 million in the Tampa Bay area.
Ms. Duncan received the 2011 Si Seymour Award for lifetime achievement by Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. From 1993-1996, she was Vice President for Development at The Florida Aquarium, leading the campaign to fund the construction of the facility on Tampa’s waterfront. Prior to coming to the Aquarium, she was Vice President for Development at Ruth Eckerd Hall, the Performing Arts Center and Theater (PACT) in Clearwater, from 1988-1993, heading up its Fifth Anniversary Campaign. For two years prior to coming to PACT, she was Director of Major Gifts at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. From 1985-1988, she was the Director of Development at Lowry Park Zoo for the campaign that created Tampa’s new zoological gardens. Her first professional fundraising position was with The Florida Orchestra in Tampa-St. Petersburg –Clearwater as Director of Development from 1980-1985 where she established its fundraising program.
Ms. Duncan has been a speaker over the past three decades at numerous state, regional and national conferences for the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (AAZPA), and the American Symphony Orchestra League (ASOL). She has also presented workshops at numerous local, state and regional symposiums and board retreats including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP, formerly NSFRE), the Junior Leagues of Clearwater-Dunedin and Tampa, the Florida Library Association, the Suncoast Girl Scout Council, the Florida Gulf Coast Art Center and the Humane Society of North Pinellas.
Ms. Duncan is past Chairman of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a graduate of Leadership America, Leadership Tampa Bay and Leadership Pinellas, where she was selected Outstanding Alumnus of the Year in 1999. She is currently a Board Member and Development Chair for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, serving Pinellas, Hernando and Citrus Counties and the Humane Society of Pinellas.
As a volunteer, Ms. Duncan is a past President of the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin and served on the Association of Junior League’s International Diversity Support Team and the Pinellas County Schools Bi-Racial Advisory Committee. She was honored as the Junior League’s Sustainer of the Year in 2000. She is a former Pinellas County Council of PTA’s Person of the Year, having served on the County Council and as PTA President/ SAC Chairman at Leila Davis Elementary during its founding years.
Ms. Duncan is a past-president of the Florida Dance Association and was active in lobbying for creation of both the Major Cultural Institutions Program and the Community Contribution Tax Incentive Program. Ms. Duncan has also served on the Florida Arts Council’s peer review panels. She has served her college fraternity, Kappa Kappa Gamma, as a member of its Foundation’s National Development Committee.
Ms. Duncan is a graduate of Ohio University where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and has a Masters in Political Science from Miami University. Immediately following graduate school, she served with the United States Foreign Service in Bonn, Germany.

Vice President of Development
Ernestine Bean, Vice President of Development, received her B.A in Business Management from Eckerd College. Ernestine first became involved with Morton Plant Mease Foundation as a volunteer on the Caring Times Committee in 2000. She joined the Foundation the following year as the Special Events Coordinator. Since then, her role at the Foundation has included Director of Corporate Giving, Director of Major Gifts, and currently the V.P. of Development. As V.P. of Development, Ernestine’s primary role includes directing the Women in Philanthropy program and leading the completion of the Foundation's $10 million Campaign to Transform Cancer Care.
Community Service has been a passion for Ernestine for over 20 years. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Directors for the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. She is the Past Sustainer President of the Junior League of Clearwater/Dunedin Foundation, and a WOW member of the Children’s Home Society- Silver Coffee Committee.
Ernestine received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2010. She is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and from 2002-2006 has served as a member of the Conference Advisory Council where she has been Track Dean of Annual Giving and Major Gifts then again in 2012.

Vice President of Development
Amanda Fisher joined the Foundation in 2004 and is the Vice President of Development. She has a BA degree in communications from the University of Toledo and over has over 17 years of fundraising experience, including the SPCA of Pinellas County and the University of Florida Foundation. She has served the community in a variety of roles, currently as a member of the boards of The Rotary Club of Clearwater and Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, and as member of the Advisory Board for the Dunedin Fine Arts Center and the 2012 district conference chair for Rotary District 6950. She has also served on the board for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Leadership Pinellas and continues to remain active in both, in addition to being a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy. She received her Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 2005.

Director of Annual Giving
Patty Sutton is the Director of Annual Giving for Morton Plant Mease Foundation. She began her career with the foundation in 2002 as an annual giving associate and special events coordinator. In addition, during her tenure she has led the Corporate Associates Committee, the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Capital Campaign and the Donald Roebling and Arbor Vitae Committees. Patty holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. She is a graduate of Leadership Pasco, a member of the Association for Health Care Philanthropy, and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Patty is also a member of the Rotary Club of Trinity and the Pasco Economic Development Council annual banquet committee.

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Larry Harmon started as an accountant with the City of Los Angeles in 1962 after graduating from High School. Mr. Harmon served in the Army in 1963 and 1964. He moved to Florida in January 1968 and worked for an Enrolled Federal Tax Accountant and Hertz before enrolling at USF to pursue a degree in accounting. Mr. Harmon graduated from USF in 1980 and went to work for Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, CPAs. He passed his CPA exam in April, 1982 and left Cherry, Bekaert & Holland in 1983 to work in industry. Mr. Harmon spent 13 years in manufacturing & service companies until joining the Foundation in September, 1996.
